What happens if BGMI files are deleted from the phone?

Have you ever deleted your BGMI game files accidentally while trying to free up some storage space?

Deleting a crucial file of the BGMI game will make your game unstable and it will crash very often, you won't be able to play the game without bugs, you will see many glitches in the game. Sometimes a file is too important for a game that after deleting that particular file the game won't even open.

It can also be possible that you deleted a very small file which is very important and you might need to reinstall the whole game because of one single small file.

In BGMI, the files are stored in two folders i.e. Android and Obb folders.

In the Obb folder, the Obb file is stored which is a big file and contains most of the game data which is not stored in the main Apk file. It contains most of the media files, graphics, and other assets. It's a necessary file to run the game. This file is stored in the file directory: Internal Storage > Android > OBB > main.(version name).com.tencent.ig

If you delete this file by mistake then the game will automatically download this file again when you open BGMI.

In case if the game doesn't download this file automatically then you have to manually download the OBB file from google Chrome and place it in the same directory: Internal Storage > Android > OBB > main.(version name).com.tencent.ig

Other files of the BGMI game are stored in the directory: Internal Storage > Android > Data > com.pubg.imobile

It contains crucial files required to run the game as well as additional content including resource packs and the additional maps that you download later in the game. Deleting files in this folder will delete your downloaded data and you would have to download the maps again.

So you don't have to worry about losing your account as it is saved on the cloud and can be accessed on any device with your Facebook or Twitter account.
